Resistance nest L'Oeilliere-continued

This is the entrance defence for the 4.7cm anti-tank gun side of the complex.
This is the escape shaft in the 4.7cm crew quarters. Before getting to the ladder leading out the crew would have to take out 2 rows of steel girders, break down a brick wall that dig through a mound of sand before they could reach the ladder! This was nessisary to prevent any explosives droped down the shaft from harming any one inside. |

This is the gun room for the 4.7cm anti-tank gun.Just below the picture is a hole in the floor this was where used shell cases would be put as soon as they had been fired. |
This is the door way to the gun room.Notice the trapdoor in the corner, this leads down to the used shell case room.On my fist visit to this bunker I didnt see the hole and nearly fell down. Also the graffiti artists have been at work as you can see, this is a problem in all of the abandoned bunkers. |

This is the crew quarters for the 10.5cm casemate on the same complex as the 4.7cm anti-tank gun.The circle at the side of the door is a pessure valve this controlled the "over pressure" in each room. |
This bunker is not part of the previous complex but is situated just above the complex on the cliff edge.It is largly filled in and the observation post up the stairs in the corner is mostly blocked up. |

Batterie Lothringen
This is the number one gun emplacement of the Batterie Lothringen on Noirmont point. The gun was recovered by the CIOS and placed here. The gun would have had a turret around the outside. |
This is the Noirmont command bunker compleatly restored by the CIOS and is open to the public. The bunker has two floors with a operations room at the top that has access to the range finder on the top and the two armoured viewing copolas. |

This is me inside the command bunker.Notice the escape shft to the left,it has been restored with the metal girders to showw how much they would have to go through to get out.

Resistance nest Aubin fort
This is me stood in front of another 4.7cm casemate built in to St.Aubins Harbour wall. |
This is a type 628 personel shelter for 10 men. Many of the doors are still inside this bunker and are begining to rust still. This bunker is the only example of its kind in Jersey. |
This is the entrance to the 10.5 cm casemate at Aubin fort.I think it has been converted in to some kind of gererator building |

This is the front of the same casemate,Iam surprised this Bunker does not flood at high tide as it is very close to the sea. |
