This page has pictures and plans of some of the Bunkers in the North West of Jersey
All of these pictures come from the Les Landes area of the map.I will get more of the rest of the North West asap.

The North West of Jersey

This is me standing next to the mp3 range finding tower at Les Landes.Note the slit in the top left, this was for riflemen to fire at any persons who may have got past the cliff defences and was heading inland.

This is a back view of the same bunker, the bunker to the bottom of the picture is a combined generator and personnel bunker for the range finding tower.

The Mp3 at Les Landes. The tower once had a large Range finder mounted on the roof.

This is a plan of the in side of the MP3 tower at Les Landes. This plan was drawn by Paul Burnal and was taken from the book 'Jerseys German Bunkers'.

View from the roof of the generator looking south.

This FI 242 Naval anti-aircraft bunker is situated directly behind the MP3 tower for the purpost of protecting it from Allied planes.Note the hooks above the doorway these once held up cammo netting to hide the emplacement until it is to late for the unlucky passer by!

This is the intierior of the anti aircraft bunker/emplacement.

This Machine gun position is very well hidden and by the time an Allied soldier saw it,it would probably be to late!

This is the entrence way to one of the under ground bunker complexes on the batterie moltke. This perticular one is accesable and me and my dad go to have a look down there (with torches) every time we visit.

Plan for the Underground complex.

This is one of the door frames in the complex, you can tell how the weather has taken its toll with the metal over the years.

This is the view down the main tunnel in the complex_scary!Note the wire hooks on the walls some of these still have their wires in place.

This is a hydrolic lift one used to haul shells up to the gun.

I belive that this once had a handle and if the hydrolic system failed then this would be turned mannually to get the shells up top.

This is the view at the entrence to the under ground bunkers,of the restored emplacement on the rise

This picture was taken in the second emplacement I managed to get in to.Note the rubble in the back ground this prevented me from going deeper in to this complex,so unfortunetly i do not have many pictures.

someone had managed to totaly destroy this hydrolic lift, and to be honest I cant see why because every thing is still there!

Each complex cosists of a tunnel system, personnel bunker, lower gun position and a higher gun position.this is the higher one and this .....

..........is the lower emplacement, which has been totally filled in.

This is me just below Les Landes, just above my head you can see obsevation bunker M2 a

Here is a closer look at M2 a

From this angle you can see the clear advantage of the position of M2 a

Further back you can see what I belive to be a Machine Gun nest to the left, the door way to M2 a and Down by the sea is Jager type casemate at strong point Etaquerel. This casemate also had a six loopholed Machine gun turret.

This is the restored complex at Les Landes

These are restored guns recovered from the cliff bottom, they are now displayed in the lower part of the restored complex.

This is me in the living quaters of the restored complex.

This is me and my sis in the complex.

This is a 3.7cm flak position.one of three at Les Landes.

This is what I belive to be a mounting for an old French tank turret, put their to defened the nearby flak position.
